Mission of Men’s Ministry is getting men together for the sake of Christ, so that they grow together in Christ and go forth together to serve Christ.
Vision Statement
Men’s Ministry aims to be a tool that reaches and develops men to encourage them to be authentic men of action in doing the work of God.
Slogan
“Iron sharpens an Iron!” that comes from the book of Proverbs 17:27.
Baptist Convention of Malawi s the composition of all born again Christians who are committed to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Its membership comes from the local Church, through Zones, Associations, Regions and then National.
Men’s Fellowship started in the year of 2022 through the vision came from Baptist Convention of Malawi (BACOMA) President Pastor Dalitso Matekenya. He shared hs vision with the Executive Leadership Board (ELB) which is an the most top body that make decisions and directives for the Baptist Churches in Malawi.
PURPOSES OF MEN’S MINISTRY IN BAPTIST CONVENTION OF MALAWI.
The purpose of Men’s Ministry is to strengthen the church by:
1. Providing strategic men’s ministry that will grow men and share Christ’s love in tangible ways in our communities.
2. Reaching all men in Baptist Convention of Malawi and develop them into realizing their Spiritual gifts in them for Christian service.
3. Challenging men to organize and support activities for boys through Young Ambassadors Ministry.
4. Organizing men’s seminars to reach out to the local church, community, nation, and the world.
5. Preparing men to take responsibilities in times of crisis, disaster, and other needs.
THEMANTIC AREAS OF MEN’S FELLOWSHIP
Fellowship has five thematic areas that every Christian men of Baptist in Malawi must undergo in order to become a member of this fellowship. It was designed that training shall be taking place at a local church or number of Churches which are sharing neighborhood to form a class and identify a teacher that will be taking them through these five thematic areas. Upon completion of these topics they are commissioned by issuing certificates to each one of them as certification of their completion. Also on the same day they have to put on Men’s Fellowship uniform which is a Navy Blue Suit, White Shirt, Black Shoes and Purple Neckties with a badge on their jackets.
Following five thematic areas that each Man go through;
⦁ Christian Character leading book Galatians 6:8
⦁ Time alone with God Joshua 1:8
⦁ Identifying one’s calling Luke 9:23
⦁ Being faithful servants of what the Lord has provided Psalms 24:1
⦁ Stewardship of giving to God Proverbs 3:9-10
Each thematic has been explained in detail in a book which Men’s go through as the introductory part of engaging Men into this Fellowship.
